MESSAGES FROM FRIENDS:
What can I say? Thank you for sharing Marvin with us. We are
sorry for your loss. --Scrunchy, Mr.T, Tina, & Chris Hammack,
California
I'm
so sorry to hear about Marvin. This must be a very sad time
for you. It is a shame our pets lives are so much shorter then
ours. But on the other hand we can love so many of them in one
lifetime and that is very special. You are both an inspiration
to me and I appreciate what you do. Peace and safe travels --
Dina Hrezik, New York
I hope you are doing well. I
am sad to hear about Marvin. When I got last month's newsletter,
I was wondering about him and how he was doing. I knew that he
could no longer be a "spring chicken", since I met him
10 years ago!
But I searched your site, and didn't see anything about him, so
I figured he was still okay. His 16 years was a good, long life,
and filled with more adventure than most people ever see! He touched
many people, including me, and I'll never forget him. --Ron &
Pam Robertson, Arizona
We're
sad to hear of Marvin's passing. I have fond memories of the
short time Mac, Marvin and I sat together on the curb in St Helen's,
OR a few years back. A picture on your web site captures the moment.
Now, Mac and I have just begun to fulltime in our new (used 02
Dutch Star DP) motor home. We will always be grateful for the
inspiration you gave us, including the quiet words Marvin, the
road dog must have whispered to Mac, since he seems to know more
about living on the road than I do. We just want you to know we're
thinking of you. --Mike Fousie and Mac, Oregon
He was a wonderful little guy.
I'll keep that image in my mind of his grinning face in the wind
and I'll always remember his fast little tongue when he had kissing
on his mind. Also, I appreciated the various little hiding places
that he would find for himself. I'm thinking of one in particular
right now: At Mom and Dad's house over by the pool, bougainvillea,
and geraniums -- he fashioned a nice shady hole in the dirt there
one time and it looked quite comfy. --Diana Sedenquist, California
We are so sorry to hear about Marvin.
We don't have any dogs since our last ones left us in tears for
days after they died. Animals are family, and it's so sad when
they go. Marvin became special to all of us who have been following
your stories. -- Leigh and Sharon Wilcox, Oregon
Thanks so much for the latest info
on Marvin the Road Dog. I've loved his inclusion in your stories
since the "Beginning". My condolences on your loss and
I hope there will be a Marvin,jr to fill the hole he left. --Lynne
Wiley, California
We are so sorry to read of Marvin's
earthly passing. He was a funny and compassionate dog, and
we always enjoyed reading of his adventures on the road. It is
tough to lose a friend; the furry friends are sometimes missed
more than the two-legged kind. We hope - should you decide to
welcome another puppy into your lives - that you will see bits
of Marvin's personality in your new road companion. I said to
Gary that I had asked about Marvin when we spoke to Megan briefly
at the AG. I'm glad I did because just asking about Marvin lit
Megan's face with a smile. --Gail Skvarenina & Gary Maycroft,
Arizona
Read with great sadness your note
about Marvin tonight. What a wonderful companion he was for
you guys. He always made me smile when I saw him or read about
him and I'm sure gave you guys great comfort and a sense of family
out on the road. --Steve and Liz Kapur, Pennsylvania
Please accept my sympathies
on the loss of Marvin. I had just asked Megan about him at
the Mensa AG about a month ago and it's sad that he has left you
and us. I remember him fondly when we visited the Phoenix or the
NicoVan. --Bob Abrahams, California
